Visit our library policies page to view the complete volunteer policy and agreement, including qualifications, responsibilities, and tasks.

For more information or answers to any questions please contact the library.

How do I volunteer?

Simply fill out a volunteer application and return it to the library. You can expect a call or email from us to schedule your hours soon after.

How old do I have to be?

The library welcomes mature teens between the ages of 13-18. Twelve year olds may volunteer the summer following the sixth grade. Adults are welcome to sign up to be volunteers at any time.

What will I do when I volunteer?

Volunteers are scheduled in 1-2 hour blocks and help us in a variety of ways including: straightening shelves, cleaning the library and books, organizing, assisting with our programs for youth, and much more.

Why would I want to volunteer?

There are many benefits to volunteering with the Lester Public Library of Arpin, such as:
- gaining work experience
- serving your community
- improving your work/college resumes or applications
- learning about library work and careers in library science
- fulfilling school, church, or scouts requirements

Don't want to consistantly volunteer? Or do you not fit the requirements to volunteer?

Volunteer for a day at the library instead! No need to fill out an application, just contact the library.
